Badger Womens Volleyball

Friday night we watched the Badger Volleyball team take on Michigan. They were down 0-2 but in a come back victory won the match 3-2.

Veterinary Dental Forum

Last weekend I spent four days in Jacksonville, FL. It was the annual Veterinary Dental Forum. As with last year it is a social event (as well as academic) to catch up with colleagues and to see what is new in the world of Veterinary Dentistry. As will last year I ran the fun run. This year we ran along the river as the sun was coming up. It was gorgeous. The lectures and labs were great as always. I also was able to sneak away and visit a local brewpub River City Brewery. I tried my first taste of alligator and had an amazing salad with Ahi Tuna. I would say the weekend was a success.

Mt. Horeb Brewfest

Another successful year at the Grumpy Troll Brewfest. It was a rainy day, but much fun was had. Good beer and music. The music was performed by The Pints, which quickly became N's favorite group (at least for the day). The girls were famous this year and made it on their website!

Weekend with Lucas

I decided to venture north and spend some time with my nephew. I spent Friday night with my sister relaxing at her house and hanging out with the boy. He has gotten so big. On Saturday morning we went to the Fall Harvest Festival in Wausau. Lucas walked through the Petting Zoo not thrilled with any of the animals. He definitely doesn't take after me. We walked through a pumpkin patch where he picked out his pumpkin. I hope he has fun decorating his pumpkin this year!

Weekend Visit

My mom is visiting for the first time since we moved home. She drove the three hours on a Friday night to spend the weekend with us. Today we are going the the Grumpy Troll Brewfest. I am sure that we will have a great time tasting the brews of surrounding microbreweries. It has been raining all morning. Hopefully the rain will be done this afternoon!

Bike Ride

Biked to Blue Mound State Park today via the Military Ridge Trail. It was a beautiful morning with the sun out and just a small breeze. On my way through Mt. Horeb I had to stop and wait for the competitors in the Iron Man Competition. It was fun to watch them race by on bike. My ride was of no comparison but fun in itself.

Governor Dodge State Park

We visited Governor Dodge State Park yesterday. P took lots of great pics. No doubt we will return. There are a ton of great trails to hike on.
