The Continental
Ate at The Continental with an old friend. We were supposed to have dinner at The Great Dane but it was packed because of the Brett Belima Show. Next we tried Lilianne's but they were having a fundraiser. We were not discouraged and ended up at The Continental. Good company, good food, and a little bit to drink and we had ourselves a great time!

Sommer House
Tonight my neighbor and I went to the Sommer House in town. It is an establishment that has delicious food and wine. I was quite surprised to see that they also had a great selection of bottled micro brews. She had a red wine shredded beef and I had a lefse turkey spinach and cranberry wrap. I also had a roasted red pepper soup that was amazing.

Wisconsin Public Radio
Since my commute to work has almost tripled I have needed something to pass the time. I found that I enjoy listening to WPR in the mornings. It used to be the show that my dad would listen to in the garage or the kitchen on Saturday mornings. He would laugh and I would think he was crazy because I never actually listened to a whole show. P introduced me to The Whatya Know Show a few years ago. We went to a live show and I have enjoyed it ever since. Along the way I have listed in on a few more shows, but recently it has been great to listen to in the car. This morning I learned (probably more that I will ever need to know) about herbal tea. I did find out about this amazing online tea store.

Veterinary Dental Forum

Last weekend I spent four days in Jacksonville, FL. It was the annual Veterinary Dental Forum. As with last year it is a social event (as well as academic) to catch up with colleagues and to see what is new in the world of Veterinary Dentistry. As will last year I ran the fun run. This year we ran along the river as the sun was coming up. It was gorgeous. The lectures and labs were great as always. I also was able to sneak away and visit a local brewpub River City Brewery. I tried my first taste of alligator and had an amazing salad with Ahi Tuna. I would say the weekend was a success.

Mt. Horeb Brewfest
Another successful year at the Grumpy Troll Brewfest. It was a rainy day, but much fun was had. Good beer and music. The music was performed by The Pints, which quickly became N's favorite group (at least for the day). The girls were famous this year and made it on their website!
